This race is only for professionals because it takes a lot of effort. The race is three week long and covers the areas around France, sometimes neighboring countries. And the most-watched sports in France are football (soccer), basketball, rugby union, cycling, sailing and tennis. The 2007 Rugby World Cup final was held in France.

In France, 51% of people is Catholics, 31% of people is agnostics or atheists, 10% of people is other religions or being without opinion, 4% of people is Muslim, 3% as Protestant, 1% as Jewish. So France is the country with multiple cultures.

The Moon Festival by Wendy

The Moon Festival is a very important festival in China. We always have a family reunion. We eat the moon cakes and pomelos. There are also many stories about Moon Festival in China. They’re very interesting. I like it very much. The following are the Moon Festival’s stories.

(1) Chang E and The Moon
In antiquity China, there were ten suns in the world. It was very hot that the crops died, and there were also many people dead. At that time, there was a famous marksman. His name was Hou I. He was too angry that he shot down nine suns, so there is only one sun now. The people were very thankful, so let him be a king.
But he was a tyrant, and then everyone were very anguished.
Hou I wanted to live forever, so he could be the emperor forever. He went to Kunlun Mountain and got the medicine which could make people live forever. After, his wife Chang E knew it, she was worrying that the people would suffer forever, because she sympathized the people. So one day, she covertly ate the medicine. Her body was more and more lithe. Hou I angrily saw Chang E fly into the sky. He tried to shot Chang E down, but it was too late. Chang E flew to the moon, and been the Moon Goddess.

(2) The Moon Rabbit
In the old forest in China, there lived a rabbit, a fox, and a monkey. They were good friends. At that time, it was a war, so many people didn’t have food to eat. One day they found an old man lie on the floor. He was very hungry. The rabbit, the fox, and the monkey went to find food, but they could find anything. The rabbit wanted to sacrifice himself to become the food for the old man. When she jumped into the pot with hot oil, there was a big, warm hand to catch the rabbit. The rabbit’s goodness touched, the God, Jade Emperor. So he saved the rabbit’s life, and took it to the moon to keep the Moon Goddess Chang E company.

Canada by Wendy

Canada is most North Country in North America. It is second big country in the world, but the population density is extremely low, it altogether only 3,200 million inhabitants.
In northwest Canada, summer is cool along the Pacific Ocean. In winter, it is cloudy. Nearby the Vancouver, because of the Pacific Ocean warm current influence, it is warm, wet. So in winter, it snows not very much.
There are many tourist spots in Canada, like Golden Village, Field, Nature Bridge, Emerald Lake, Castle Mountain, Banff, Bow River, Calvary, E.Q Park, Public Market, Gassy, Peace Arch Park, Binary Min Park, Stanley Park, Victoria, Butch Garden, Thunderbird Park…. Among those places, I like the Stanley Park the best.
Stanley Park is the North America area 3rd big urban park, names by Canadian Governor Knight Stanley. In Stanley Park, you can ride a bicycle there. And you can see many horse-drawn carriages.
Another scenic spot that I like is Emerald Lake. Emerald Lake is the biggest lake in superior crane country park. In Indian language, it means "lake of the small fish", because the lake water is green, therefore it is called the jadeite lake. In the spring summer season, the color of the lake is green and the lake and the forest beside it mutually shines, which effuses inundates silent and unique beauty.
